How Can I Pay May Legal Fees If They Are Due Before My Chapter 7 Case is Filed ?

Payment Plan

Whenever a client is determined to be eligible to file a Chapter 7 bankruptcy case, the issue of legal fees must be discussed.  The 11th Circuit Court of Appeals has ruled that the Debtor's attorney fees for all anticipated, basic services in a Chapter 7 bankruptcy case must be collected by the Attorney and paid by the Debtor prior to the case being filed, or they are discharged along with all of the other general unsecured debt listed in the case.

At our firm, we offer a payment plan on our legal fees. The payment plan will require the client to sign a payment plan agreement to pay the legal fees usually within a time frame of 90 days, or 3 monthly payments.   We offer electronic payments by debit card or ACH bank draft which can be done via the client's online case file that is accessible through www.mycase.com.   Mycase.com is free for every client, and there is a free APP that can be downloaded by the Client to the client's smartphone for 24/7 access to their case.   Payments can be made by the client right on the client's phone via mycase.com.
